About

U.S. Rake Force

Regenerating Forests. Rebuilding Lives. Defending the Future.

U.S. Rake Force is a veteran-founded ecological restoration and wildfire prevention organization rooted in service, stewardship, and soil. We train and employ veterans, tribal members, and civilians to tackle one of the most urgent threats facing our communities: catastrophic wildfire fueled by decades of mismanagement, invasive species, and climate chaos.

What started as a response to a careless political soundbite—"rake the forest"—has evolved into a serious, boots-on-the-ground workforce that's thinning fuels, restoring ecosystems, and building a regenerative green economy from the forest floor up.

Our Founder

Jake Dailey, born on the 4th of July and raised in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, served as a U.S. Army Combat Medic in Iraq. After seeing the cost of war firsthand, he returned home committed to a different kind of defense—protecting land, water, and community from destruction. Jake founded Rake Force to channel the strength and resilience of fellow veterans into meaningful, life-giving work.

What We Do

  • Hazardous Fuels Reduction with hand crews, goats, and saws

  • Regenerative Agroforestry and rewilding projects

  • Biochar Production for carbon sequestration and soil health

  • Workforce Development for veterans, tribal nations, and youth

  • Education & Demonstration in conservation science and stewardship

Why It Matters

Wildfire doesn’t wait. Rural communities are under threat. Forests are sick. And veterans are looking for purpose after service. Rake Force unites these challenges into one powerful solution: boots on the ground, rakes in hand, and a future worth fighting for.
